This cheeky little guy is full of personality and is proving that older dogs still have plenty of life, love, and laughs to give.
He's happiest with a toy in his mouth, and once you've become his favourite person, he's all about the cuddles. He's recently conquered a walk around the marina and is growing in confidence with every new adventure.
Like any dog learning new routines, he's still working on his manners. He's also discovered that doors and gates can be surprisingly easy to outsmart, so he'll need a secure home and a family who can stay one step ahead of his escape-artist tendencies.
He'd be best suited to a home without young children and isn't suited to living with cats. He's your classic grumpy old man Shih Tzu—opinionated, hilarious, and guaranteed to keep you smiling.
He's not quite ready for adoption just yet as we're still polishing a few life skills, but we're now taking Expressions of Interest from people who think this funny little character could be the perfect addition to their family.
If you're looking for a dog with plenty of personality, a playful streak, and lots of love to give, this little man might just be your perfect match.

A Note on Training and Adopting Our Dogs
Our dogs are wonderful, and we invest a great deal of time and effort into their training and preparation. However, no dog is “perfectly trained” or ready to adopt without any ongoing work.
All dogs go through normal life stages and changes — puppyhood, adolescence, adulthood, aging, moving homes, and adapting to new environments. Any of these can lead to stress, uncertainty, or moments of testing boundaries.
Because of this, ongoing training is essential. Training isn’t a one-off task; it’s a continual process that helps you understand your dog’s needs, support them through transitions, and set everyone up for long-term success.
We would expect adopters to maintain the training we’ve started and seek further guidance if needed. We’re always happy to help with information and recommendations for trainers, and provide advice during the trial and adoption process also.

Although we charge a small adoption fee, this doesn't generally cover the costs of us getting our dogs ready for adoption. Desexing, grooms, vet care, vaccinations, registration, training and variety of other things can go into these dogs. If you'd like to help either on a one off or regular basis we would be grateful for your donation.
