Meet Wallace
Wallace arrived into foster care last week and has wasted absolutely no time making himself at home… emotionally, physically, and personally.
Since arriving, he has been desexed and microchipped and handled the whole thing like a seasoned professional. Honestly, we suspect he thought the vet visit was just another social outing.
This boy is equal parts sweetheart and tiny tornado.
One minute he’s giving you loving puppy dog eyes like he’s never known kindness in his life…
The next minute he’s parkouring, zooming laps around the lounge, and reorganising everyone’s personal space.
Here’s what we’ve learned about Wallace so far…
LOVES a walk
Loose lead walking and his training is coming along really nicely
Has already mastered “sit” and is quickly becoming a “place” expert
Settled beautifully into his crate
Food motivated… but also apparently a food critic
Loves car rides and insists on neighbourhood supervision through the window
Gets along well with other dogs
Wallace is an incredibly clever little guy and definitely not the type to be satisfied with just a quick stroll around the block. He’s going to thrive in an active home that can give him plenty of mental stimulation, continued training, adventures, and ways to use that busy brain of his.
He came into care as a bit of a blank canvas, but every day he’s showing us just how smart, affectionate, and hilariously entertaining he really is.
Underneath all the chaos and wiggles is a really lovely dog who is going to make one lucky family laugh every single day.
We can’t wait to keep sharing Wallace’s adventures as he settles further into foster care.

A Note on Training and Adopting Our Dogs
Our dogs are wonderful, and we invest a great deal of time and effort into their training and preparation. However, no dog is “perfectly trained” or ready to adopt without any ongoing work.
All dogs go through normal life stages and changes — puppyhood, adolescence, adulthood, aging, moving homes, and adapting to new environments. Any of these can lead to stress, uncertainty, or moments of testing boundaries.
Because of this, ongoing training is essential. Training isn’t a one-off task; it’s a continual process that helps you understand your dog’s needs, support them through transitions, and set everyone up for long-term success.
We would expect adopters to maintain the training we’ve started and seek further guidance if needed. We’re always happy to help with information and recommendations for trainers, and provide advice during the trial and adoption process also.
Can't adopt Wallace? You can still help.
Although we charge a small adoption fee, this doesn't generally cover the costs of us getting our dogs ready for adoption. Desexing, grooms, vet care, vaccinations, registration, training and variety of other things can go into these dogs. If you'd like to help either on a one off or regular basis we would be grateful for your donation.
