Introducing Duke Thaddeus Aloysius Crumbsniffer aka Thad, The Snuggle Duke of Couchshire
If you’ve ever dreamed of living with a tiny Victorian nobleman trapped in a dog’s body, congratulations, your moment has arrived. Duke Thaddeus Aloysius Crumbsniffer (Thad to his friends, which he will decide if you are) is a caring, charming little dude with a personality that unfolds like a very dramatic flower.
He’s had ups. He’s had downs. He’s had Opinions™. But beneath it all is a boy who is genuinely special, the kind of dog who, once he trusts you, will love you with the intensity of a thousand suns and at least three full-body wiggles.
Thad’s Favourite Things
Humans: All of them. Any of them. If you’re a person, he’s into it.
Food: If it exists, he believes it belongs in his mouth.
Car rides: He sprints to the car it’s the Treat Mobile and he has VIP access.
Cuddles: He will demand them. He will escalate. You have been warned.
His crate: Sleeps like a tiny angel who absolutely did not just shove his head under your hand for the 47th cuddle request.
Thad’s “Character-Building Traits”
· Being alone: He is a firm believer in togetherness. Preferably always. We’re teaching him how to enjoy his own company, despite being given the side eye.
Walking on a lead: Thad is philosophically opposed to exercise. He will plant himself like a stubborn potato or reverse like a tiny tractor.
Leaving the house: The outside world is suspicious. He’s convinced the footpath is plotting something. We’re working on it.
What Thad Needs
Thad is looking for a human who is patient, kind, and gently firm, someone who can say “I love you” and “no, we are actually going outside today” in the same breath.
He’ll thrive in a home with:
Secure fencing or safe outdoor spaces (Houdini does not need to be added to his full title)
Someone who understands that progress is made in small, brave, furry steps
A willingness to celebrate victories like “walked to the letterbox” as if he just won Olympic gold
He still needs boundaries, structure, and encouragement — even when he dramatically flops onto his side like a fainting goat to protest walkies.
The Real Thad
Once he trusts you, the transformation is magic. The fear melts. The silliness emerges. The zoomies appear like a rare natural phenomenon.
You’ll see:
A wiggly tail that could power a small village
A goofy, affectionate character
A dog who blossoms with love, consistency, and (the occasional) snack
