Meet Sullivan
Professional cuddler. Amateur neighbourhood watch officer. Part-time toy murderer.
Sully is a big, goofy boy who has a lot of love to give and quite a few opinions about how the world should operate.
First things first, Sully LOVES people. Strangers? Never heard of them. Everyone is simply a best friend he hasn't met yet. If you're offering pats, belly rubs or cuddles, you've pretty much secured yourself a lifelong fan.
He's also a big fan of toys. Unfortunately, his toys may not feel quite the same way about him. Sully approaches playtime with the enthusiasm of a puppy and the destructive capabilities of a small excavator. It's all in good fun, of course.
When he's not busy rearranging the stuffing in his toys, Sully enjoys getting out for walks, exploring his surroundings and relaxing outside in the fresh air. He's happy to get out and about, although he's not necessarily signing up for your next half-marathon.
Now, like any good character, Sully comes with a few quirks.
For starters, he has appointed himself Head of Neighbourhood Security. The neighbours have not requested this service, but Sully takes his responsibilities very seriously.
He's also deeply suspicious of large, noisy vehicles. Buses, rubbish trucks and courier vans are all on his watchlist. What are they doing? Where are they going? Why are they so loud? Sully would like answers.
Cats, meanwhile, are completely unacceptable. They don't need to hiss, run or even look in his direction. Their mere existence is enough to offend him, so Sully will need a cat-free home.
So, what kind of home does Sully need?
Sully needs people who can appreciate his wonderful personality while also recognising that he has some things to work on.
His new family will need to be patient, consistent and willing to help him build confidence around the things he finds challenging. His barking, reactions to noisy vehicles and anxiety won't magically disappear just because he's moved into a lovely new home.
He's looking for someone prepared to put in the training, give him guidance and celebrate the little wins along the way.
The good news? Behind all those opinions is an incredibly affectionate, people-loving dog who would happily spend his days being your best mate.
Sully might not be everyone's cup of tea, but for the right person, he'll be the whole teapot.

A Note on Training and Adopting Our Dogs
Our dogs are wonderful, and we invest a great deal of time and effort into their training and preparation. However, no dog is “perfectly trained” or ready to adopt without any ongoing work.
All dogs go through normal life stages and changes — puppyhood, adolescence, adulthood, aging, moving homes, and adapting to new environments. Any of these can lead to stress, uncertainty, or moments of testing boundaries.
Because of this, ongoing training is essential. Training isn’t a one-off task; it’s a continual process that helps you understand your dog’s needs, support them through transitions, and set everyone up for long-term success.
We would expect adopters to maintain the training we’ve started and seek further guidance if needed. We’re always happy to help with information and recommendations for trainers, and provide advice during the trial and adoption process also.

Although we charge a small adoption fee, this doesn't generally cover the costs of us getting our dogs ready for adoption. Desexing, grooms, vet care, vaccinations, registration, training and variety of other things can go into these dogs.
