Stark

MALE | BORN APPROX APRIL 2025 | BEARDIE X

LOCATED IN AUCKLAND

STARK HAS ARRIVED 🌪️

On first glance, Stark appears to be a very handsome, slightly serious young gentleman. Regal, even. The kind of dog you’d expect to sit quietly beside you while you sip coffee.

This is not quite true... Yet.

What he is, however, is a very good boy in the making… just one who occasionally forgets he has a “pause” button.

Because underneath all that enthusiasm for life is actually a really lovely dog. Stark is incredibly sweet, super affectionate, and very keen on his humans. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be involved in everything you’re doing, preferably right next to you (or slightly on top of you).

He’s also a smart cookie. Like, suspiciously smart. The kind that learns quickly and then looks at you like, “okay, what’s next?” He’s already been working on “sit” over the last couple of days and is picking it up nicely, which is impressive considering his brain is sometimes running in five tabs at once.

He’s curious about the world, eager to learn, and genuinely wants to please. You can see the wheels turning… sometimes very fast, but they are turning.

He has met one very polite, well-adjusted dog so far, who responded to Stark’s enthusiasm with a firm but fair “please dial it back, sir.” Stark is currently processing this feedback.

Right now he’s very much in his “figuring life out” era, but there is so much potential here. With a bit of guidance, some consistency, and maybe a reminder that not everything needs to happen at full volume, he’s going to be an absolutely brilliant companion.

Stark is ready for his new home, and this is  your official introduction to a very handsome, very lovable boy… who may or may not be powered by invisible jet fuel đź’›

A Note on Training and Adopting Our Dogs

Our dogs are wonderful, and we invest a great deal of time and effort into their training and preparation. However, no dog is “perfectly trained” or ready to adopt without any ongoing work.

All dogs go through normal life stages and changes — puppyhood, adolescence, adulthood, aging, moving homes, and adapting to new environments. Any of these can lead to stress, uncertainty, or moments of testing boundaries.

Because of this, ongoing training is essential. Training isn’t a one-off task; it’s a continual process that helps you understand your dog’s needs, support them through transitions, and set everyone up for long-term success.

We would expect adopters to maintain the training we’ve started and seek further guidance if needed. We’re always happy to help with information and recommendations for trainers, and provide advice during the trial and adoption process also.

Can't adopt Stark? You can still help.

Although we charge a small adoption fee, this doesn't generally cover the costs of us getting our dogs ready for adoption. Desexing, grooms, vet care, vaccinations, registration, training and variety of other things can go into these dogs. If you'd like to help either on a one off or regular basis we would be grateful for your donation.
