Stacy
FEMALE | BORN APPROX APRIL 2024 | TERRIER X
LOCATED IN AUCKLAND
If you’ve ever thought, “I wish my best friend was fast, funny, food‑motivated, and occasionally chaotic in a charming way,” congratulations, Stacy is ready to change your life.
This energetic, intelligent, kid‑friendly queen is the full package:
affectionate
hilarious
trainable
strong enough to tow a small trailer
and deeply committed to living her best life
But let’s get the important stuff out of the way…
Absolutely not a bird person
Or a rabbit person. Or a guinea pig person. If it squeaks, flaps, scurries, or looks like it might be fun to chase, Stacy says “YES PLEASE” and we say “NO THANK YOU.”
Small critter–free homes only.
Dogs? Yes but with conditions
Stacy LOVES other dogs, but she’s not a “show up at the dog park and vibe with 40 strangers” kind of girl. She’s more of a “let’s build trust, play bitey‑face, and wrestle like WWE professionals once we’re friends” type.
She’d thrive with:
a stable, confident dog who enjoys rough‑and‑tumble OR
being your one‑and‑only chaos goblin
Dog parks and peak‑hour beaches? Hard pass. Off‑peak adventures with her chosen people? Absolutely.
Work in progress
Stacy can be leash reactive. No, it’s not permanent. Her reactivity is relationship‑based, and once she trusts you, it melts away like butter on a hot day.
She needs a home committed to working with her on this with daily training and walks in quieter place or off‑leash adventures in safe areas.
The good news? She’s super food‑ and play‑motivated, which makes training a breeze. The other news? She’s strong, so bring your gym membership energy.
She’s such a great girl!
Amazing with kids
Smart as anything
Low‑maintenance coat
Hilarious personality
Loyal, loving, and deeply rewarding once she bonds
Bitey‑face champion
Will absolutely make you feel like a dog‑training genius
Her dream home
Active
Critter‑free
Physically capable
Committed to building trust
Up for adventures
Has fences over 1.8m (she has athletic aspirations)
Why Stacy?
Because she’s the kind of dog who gives you everything once she trusts you. Because she’s funny, affectionate, and full of personality. Because she’ll make you laugh daily. Because she’s a once‑in‑a‑lifetime adventure buddy.
If you’re ready to love a strong, silly, loyal little lady who will adore you with her whole heart, Stacy is waiting.

A Note on Training and Adopting Our Dogs
Our dogs are wonderful, and we invest a great deal of time and effort into their training and preparation. However, no dog is “perfectly trained” or ready to adopt without any ongoing work.
All dogs go through normal life stages and changes — puppyhood, adolescence, adulthood, aging, moving homes, and adapting to new environments. Any of these can lead to stress, uncertainty, or moments of testing boundaries.
Because of this, ongoing training is essential. Training isn’t a one-off task; it’s a continual process that helps you understand your dog’s needs, support them through transitions, and set everyone up for long-term success.
We would expect adopters to maintain the training we’ve started and seek further guidance if needed. We’re always happy to help with information and recommendations for trainers, and provide advice during the trial and adoption process also.
Can't adopt Stacy? You can still help.
Although we charge a small adoption fee, this doesn't generally cover the costs of us getting our dogs ready for adoption. Desexing, grooms, vet care, vaccinations, registration, training and variety of other things can go into these dogs. If you'd like to help either on a one off or regular basis we would be grateful for your donation.
