1st December 2025

Hi Everyone, meet (insert name here).

This sweet girl found herself in the care of Southern Rangitikei Vet Services with a broken leg. This week, she will be receiving a fairly large surgery to fix with plates and screws.

We are expecting this to cost from $3,000+, and it will take approximately 6 to 8 weeks to heal.

This girl is one of the sweetest you’ll meet. The team there are smitten with her, and so are we.

If you can help with even $5 to help towards her vet bill, we would be very thankful! Especially coming up to Christmas, this will put a hole in our pockets, but we know she is worth every cent.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and or watch the video.

It goes without saying, but she is not up for adoption yet as she has a long way till recovery.

Her name is Bronte.

Yesterday she went under the knife and is now officially part bionic. It was a huge day for her — and for everyone who helped make it happen.

Her recovery journey starts now, and we’re so excited to see her finally on the path to healing.

A massive thank-you to Libby, Lucy and the incredible SRVS team for performing her surgery and taking such good care of her.

So far we’ve raised $1,000, and we still have $2,000 to go to cover the remaining costs.

She's getting better every day! She's getting slow, controlled walks to tryto  build up the muscles in her leg.

Thanks so everyone who has donated towards her surgery. We have raised $2300, and we couldn't be more thankful.

Latest update!

After undergoing surgery to repair her broken leg, Bronte has been working through the slow and careful process of recovery.

To support her rehabilitation, Bronte had an osteopathy session with Julie from Julia Garreau Animal Osteopathy. The results have been incredible. It is amazing to see how much more aligned Bronte is through her back after just one session. The treatment helped release the tension and imbalance caused by months of altered movement, allowing her body to realign and move more comfortably.

We are now hoping to get Bronte into hydrotherapy, which will help her safely rebuild strength and mobility without putting too much strain on her healing leg. She will also need a follow-up x-ray to make sure everything is healing as it should.

This kind of supportive therapy plays an important role alongside veterinary care, helping Bronte rebuild strength, improve mobility, and continue healing in the best possible way.
