If you’re looking for a social, affectionate boy who loves people just as much as he loves having a canine buddy to wrestle with, Sage might be your guy.
Sage is a Cavoodle with a whole lot of love to give. He’s particularly fond of the ladies, although he’s generally a big fan of people and loves being part of whatever is going on.
He’s also a very social boy when it comes to other dogs. In foster care, he’s become great mates with his slightly over-enthusiastic foster sister, Meadow, and the two happily spend their time wrestling, playing chase and generally keeping each other entertained. A home where he can continue to enjoy some canine companionship could be right up his alley.
Around the house, Sage is already proving to be a pretty easy housemate. He’s toilet-trained, likes his crate and settles well in it overnight. He knows his basic commands, has pretty good recall and walks nicely on lead.
And unlike some dogs who take one look outside and decide a walk can absolutely wait until tomorrow, Sage isn’t bothered by a bit of rain.
He’s a friendly, playful boy who seems to have a lovely balance: happy to get out and about, happy to play with his doggy friends, but also able to settle and sleep well at home.
Sage is still relatively new to us, so we’re continuing to learn more about him as he settles into foster care. But so far, he’s showing us a pretty lovely little package: people-loving, dog-loving, playful, clever and already equipped with some great foundations.

A Note on Training and Adopting Our Dogs
Our dogs are wonderful, and we invest a great deal of time and effort into their training and preparation. However, no dog is “perfectly trained” or ready to adopt without any ongoing work.
All dogs go through normal life stages and changes — puppyhood, adolescence, adulthood, aging, moving homes, and adapting to new environments. Any of these can lead to stress, uncertainty, or moments of testing boundaries.
Because of this, ongoing training is essential. Training isn’t a one-off task; it’s a continual process that helps you understand your dog’s needs, support them through transitions, and set everyone up for long-term success.
We would expect adopters to maintain the training we’ve started and seek further guidance if needed. We’re always happy to help with information and recommendations for trainers, and provide advice during the trial and adoption process also.

Although we charge a small adoption fee, this doesn't generally cover the costs of us getting our dogs ready for adoption. Desexing, grooms, vet care, vaccinations, registration, training and variety of other things can go into these dogs. If you'd like to help either on a one off or regular basis we would be grateful for your donation.
