One year old, a whole lot of personality, and still no idea what breed he is!
When Ludo first arrived in foster care, he was a shy 11-month-old pup finding his feet. Fast forward a little, and that shy boy has well and truly found his confidence.
And the question everyone keeps asking? What breed is he? Honestly... we still have absolutely no idea!
Ludo has settled beautifully into foster care, and his personality is shining brighter than ever. He's growing into a happy, playful young lad who is discovering just how much fun life can be.
One of the sweetest things about him is his relationship with his foster brother, Rome. Despite his youthful enthusiasm, Ludo has shown he can adjust his play style to suit Rome's slower, "old man" pace. It's incredibly sweet to watch.
He's also doing brilliantly with his training! He's toilet trained and has made fantastic progress with his crate training. Those initial complaints are a thing of the past, and he's now happily settling in.
As Ludo has grown in confidence, we've also discovered that he can be a little enthusiastic with his greetings! Older, dog-experienced children who can handle his youthful energy could be a great match.
He hasn't been tested with cats yet.
Ludo has come such a long way from the shy youngster who first arrived in our care. He's now a confident, fun-loving boy who's still learning his manners and figuring out the world.
He's got his whole future ahead of him, and we can't wait to see what it holds.

A Note on Training and Adopting Our Dogs
Our dogs are wonderful, and we invest a great deal of time and effort into their training and preparation. However, no dog is “perfectly trained” or ready to adopt without any ongoing work.
All dogs go through normal life stages and changes — puppyhood, adolescence, adulthood, aging, moving homes, and adapting to new environments. Any of these can lead to stress, uncertainty, or moments of testing boundaries.
Because of this, ongoing training is essential. Training isn’t a one-off task; it’s a continual process that helps you understand your dog’s needs, support them through transitions, and set everyone up for long-term success.
We would expect adopters to maintain the training we’ve started and seek further guidance if needed. We’re always happy to help with information and recommendations for trainers, and provide advice during the trial and adoption process also.
Can't adopt Ludo? You can still help.
Although we charge a small adoption fee, this doesn't generally cover the costs of us getting our dogs ready for adoption. Desexing, grooms, vet care, vaccinations, registration, training and variety of other things can go into these dogs. If you'd like to help either on a one off or regular basis we would be grateful for your donation.
