At just 11 months old, Ludo is still very much a puppy with his whole future ahead of him... and we're already falling for this sweet boy.
The first question everyone asks is, what breed is he? Honestly... we have no idea!
Ludo is settling beautifully into foster care and his personality is starting to shine. While he's naturally a little shy, he's growing in confidence every day as he learns the routine and discovers that life can be pretty great.
One of the sweetest things about him? He's completely adjusted his play style to suit his foster brother, Rome. Instead of charging around like an excitable youngster, Ludo has happily slowed things down to match Rome's "old man" pace. It's incredibly sweet to watch.
He's currently fully toilet trained (and we're hoping he keeps up the good work!) and has taken to crate training really well. The initial complaints have stopped, and he's now happily settling in.
Ludo hasn't been tested with children or cats yet, but we'll keep learning more about him as he continues to settle.
For now, we're just enjoying watching this gentle young lad come out of his shell. We can't wait to see the confident, happy dog he's becoming.

A Note on Training and Adopting Our Dogs
Our dogs are wonderful, and we invest a great deal of time and effort into their training and preparation. However, no dog is “perfectly trained” or ready to adopt without any ongoing work.
All dogs go through normal life stages and changes — puppyhood, adolescence, adulthood, aging, moving homes, and adapting to new environments. Any of these can lead to stress, uncertainty, or moments of testing boundaries.
Because of this, ongoing training is essential. Training isn’t a one-off task; it’s a continual process that helps you understand your dog’s needs, support them through transitions, and set everyone up for long-term success.
We would expect adopters to maintain the training we’ve started and seek further guidance if needed. We’re always happy to help with information and recommendations for trainers, and provide advice during the trial and adoption process also.
Can't adopt Ludo? You can still help.
Although we charge a small adoption fee, this doesn't generally cover the costs of us getting our dogs ready for adoption. Desexing, grooms, vet care, vaccinations, registration, training and variety of other things can go into these dogs. If you'd like to help either on a one off or regular basis we would be grateful for your donation.
