Kirby
FEMALE | BORN AUGUST 2021 | JACK RUSSELL TERRIER
LOCATED IN AUCKLAND
Meet Kirby – Small in Size, Big in Personality!
She has a heart full of spunk and a tail that never stops wagging! This little legend is the full terrier package – clever, curious, and bursting with character.
Kirby is the kind of dog who’ll keep you smiling with her cheeky antics and warm your heart with her cuddles. Whether she’s trotting beside you on a walk (or run!), playing with a toy she’s just claimed as her own, or snoozing in a sunny spot, Kirby brings joy to every moment.
Here’s what we love about Kirby:
• Smart cookie – Quick learner who thrives with mental stimulation and positive reinforcement
• Active & alert – Loves her daily adventures and needs a family who’ll enjoy her energetic nature
• People-oriented – Bonds closely with her humans and loves being part of the action
• Small but mighty – Don’t let her size fool you – this little girl has a big personality and an even bigger heart
Kirby would do best in a home that understands the terrier spirit – one that can give her the stimulation, structure, and love she craves. A secure yard to explore, lots of exercise, a cozy crate and bed to curl up in, and a human (or two!) who’ll adore her? That’s Kirby’s dream come true.
If you’re looking for a fun-sized best friend with loads of charm, Kirby is your girl.

A Note on Training and Adopting Our Dogs
Our dogs are wonderful, and we invest a great deal of time and effort into their training and preparation. However, no dog is “perfectly trained” or ready to adopt without any ongoing work.
All dogs go through normal life stages and changes — puppyhood, adolescence, adulthood, aging, moving homes, and adapting to new environments. Any of these can lead to stress, uncertainty, or moments of testing boundaries.
Because of this, ongoing training is essential. Training isn’t a one-off task; it’s a continual process that helps you understand your dog’s needs, support them through transitions, and set everyone up for long-term success.
We would expect adopters to maintain the training we’ve started and seek further guidance if needed. We’re always happy to help with information and recommendations for trainers, and provide advice during the trial and adoption process also.
Can't adopt Kirby? You can still help.
Although we charge a small adoption fee, this doesn't generally cover the costs of us getting our dogs ready for adoption. Desexing, grooms, vet care, vaccinations, registration, training and variety of other things can go into these dogs. If you'd like to help either on a one off or regular basis we would be grateful for your donation.
