If cuddling was an Olympic sport, Junie would be taking home gold.
At just 5kg, she may be tiny, but she has some very strong opinions about how humans should spend their time — mainly, cuddling her.
Junie LOVES cuddles. Demands cuddles. And if cuddles are temporarily unavailable, she’ll eventually accept defeat and put herself to bed in her crate. She may also be experimenting with mind control to ensure this situation doesn’t happen too often.
She’s a sweet, polite little girl who genuinely enjoys people. She’s happy to say hello to everyone she meets and has already shown she can handle outings beautifully. Bunnings? No worries. A quiet café? Happy as can be. Walks? Absolutely.
Junie is good on lead, has recall to her name and already knows how to sit. She’s toilet trained and has been doing well with her crate overnight, although she has recently discovered she can submit formal complaints about bedtime.
With other dogs, she’s generally okay. She can happily say hello but may give a little grumble if another dog gets too close for comfort. She seems to appreciate having her personal space respected.
Car travel is another work in progress. She behaves well in the car but can get a little carsick, so she may need some help getting used to longer journeys.
Junie is still understandably nervous about some things. But underneath those nerves, we’re seeing more and more waggy tails and a gorgeous little personality starting to emerge.
Toys? Not interested… yet.
She’s light on her feet, easy to have around and, despite being tiny, doesn’t spend her time under your feet.
What Junie really wants is simple: people, gentle adventures, somewhere she feels safe and an absolutely unreasonable quantity of cuddles.

A Note on Training and Adopting Our Dogs
Our dogs are wonderful, and we invest a great deal of time and effort into their training and preparation. However, no dog is “perfectly trained” or ready to adopt without any ongoing work.
All dogs go through normal life stages and changes — puppyhood, adolescence, adulthood, aging, moving homes, and adapting to new environments. Any of these can lead to stress, uncertainty, or moments of testing boundaries.
Because of this, ongoing training is essential. Training isn’t a one-off task; it’s a continual process that helps you understand your dog’s needs, support them through transitions, and set everyone up for long-term success.
We would expect adopters to maintain the training we’ve started and seek further guidance if needed. We’re always happy to help with information and recommendations for trainers, and provide advice during the trial and adoption process also.

Although we charge a small adoption fee, this doesn't generally cover the costs of us getting our dogs ready for adoption. Desexing, grooms, vet care, vaccinations, registration, training and variety of other things can go into these dogs. If you'd like to help either on a one off or regular basis we would be grateful for your donation.
