Ettie

FEMALE | BORN APPROX DECEMBER 2025 | SCHNAUZER

LOCATED IN AUCKLAND

Meet Ettie – tiny in size, huge in personality. At just 6 months old, this adorable little Schnauzer is already proving she's going to make someone an incredible best friend.

Ettie is the kind of puppy who wakes up excited for whatever the day has in store. Whether it's exploring the garden, making new friends, or sneaking in as many cuddles as possible, she's all in. Here's what we've learnt about her so far:

Super sociable and always happy to meet new people and dogs.

Loves playing with other dogs.

An absolute smooch who adores being with her people.

Loves spending time outside exploring the garden.

Has recently discovered she has a voice...

Knows "sit" when treats are involved - she's a smart girl with excellent negotiating skills.

Eats with incredible enthusiasm. If meals were an Olympic sport, she'd be bringing home gold.

Thinks stairs are a strange invention, but she's bravely figuring them out one step at a time.

Took her bath and blow dry like an absolute champion.

Ettie is still a puppy, so she'll need a family who can continue her training and help her grow into the wonderful adult dog she's already showing signs of becoming. With her affectionate nature, confidence, and playful spirit, we think she's going to make an amazing little companion.

If you're looking for a happy, cuddly little shadow who'll keep you smiling every day, Ettie might just be your perfect match.

A Note on Training and Adopting Our Dogs

Our dogs are wonderful, and we invest a great deal of time and effort into their training and preparation. However, no dog is “perfectly trained” or ready to adopt without any ongoing work.

All dogs go through normal life stages and changes — puppyhood, adolescence, adulthood, aging, moving homes, and adapting to new environments. Any of these can lead to stress, uncertainty, or moments of testing boundaries.

Because of this, ongoing training is essential. Training isn’t a one-off task; it’s a continual process that helps you understand your dog’s needs, support them through transitions, and set everyone up for long-term success.

We would expect adopters to maintain the training we’ve started and seek further guidance if needed. We’re always happy to help with information and recommendations for trainers, and provide advice during the trial and adoption process also.

Can't adopt Ettie? You can still help.

Although we charge a small adoption fee, this doesn't generally cover the costs of us getting our dogs ready for adoption. Desexing, grooms, vet care, vaccinations, registration, training and variety of other things can go into these dogs. If you'd like to help either on a one off or regular basis we would be grateful for your donation.
