Bronte
FEMALE | BORN MAY 2023 | COLLIE X
LOCATED IN AUCKLAND
Brontë arrived on New Year’s Day like a girl who had already made her resolutions and was simply waiting for the rest of us to catch up. She settled in instantly, made zero fuss in her crate, and behaved like she’d read the “How to Be a Perfect House Guest” manual cover to cover.
She’s currently in rehab, taking small block walks and smiling like she’s training for Miss Congeniality. Nothing — not buses, prams, umbrellas, or her own medical history — can dim this girl’s vibe.
Personality Highlights
Sweet, gentle, and quietly judging your life choices in the nicest possible way
Learns routines faster than most humans (me included)
Reigning ‘clever clogs’ champion — she knows so many commands
Loves little dogs and little humans, which is adorable and also suspiciously wholesome
Recently discovered toys and now hoards Kongs and sticks, curating her bed like it’s a boutique homewares store
Enjoys being near her people but is also realising humans are… honestly not that exciting
Rehab Royalty
Brontë has been working with an amazing osteo legend (shout out to Julie!), who has basically realigned her like a luxury European car. Her posture is straighter, her leg is stronger, and she’s doing far less of the dramatic “tap tap tap” routine.
She’s also:
Survived her first hydrotherapy session — 90 minutes of pure brain work
Walking up to 4km with no pain, like a tiny athlete with a fan club
Getting braver with all the weird things humans do in public
Gaining weight steadily
Recently discovered food is actually amazing and is now a proud member of the “I Will Eat That” community
Brontë is sweet, smart, hilarious, and absolutely smashing her comeback arc. She’s ready for a home that appreciates a girl with resilience, charm, and a growing enthusiasm for snacks.
Adopt Brontë — she’s the glow‑up story of the year.

Can't adopt Bronte? You can still help.
Although we charge a small adoption fee, this doesn't generally cover the costs of us getting our dogs ready for adoption. Desexing, grooms, vet care, vaccinations, registration, training and variety of other things can go into these dogs. If you'd like to help either on a one off or regular basis we would be grateful for your donation.
