Banana

FEMALE | BORN APPROX AUGUST 2020 | POODLE X LABRADOR
LOCATED IN AUCKLAND

Meet Banana: Your Daily Dose of Wiggles and Sass!

Introducing Banana — a delightfully quirky gal who’s got the personality of a sitcom character and the crate manners of a seasoned pro.

Personality:

Banana is the kind of dog who will wiggle her entire body like she’s made of jelly the moment she sees you… Affection? Yes. Physical contact? Let’s not rush things.

  • Nervous at first, but expresses it by being extra annoying in the most endearing way possible.

  • Crate queen - she lounges like royalty and doesn’t complain.

  • Other dogs? Meh. Banana’s got main character energy and barely notices the supporting cast.

  • Still carrying a few extra pounds from her “chunky chic” era, but she’s working on her fitness — one wiggle at a time.

Banana is looking for someone who appreciates a dog with boundaries, sass, and a heart of gold.

She isn't quite ready for adoption just yet, but if you would like to express your interest in adopting her when the time comes then please apply. We do not have a timeframe just yet but will conduct meet and greets when she is ready, in her own time.

A Note on Training and Adopting Our Dogs

Our dogs are wonderful, and we invest a great deal of time and effort into their training and preparation. However, no dog is “perfectly trained” or ready to adopt without any ongoing work.

All dogs go through normal life stages and changes — puppyhood, adolescence, adulthood, aging, moving homes, and adapting to new environments. Any of these can lead to stress, uncertainty, or moments of testing boundaries.

Because of this, ongoing training is essential. Training isn’t a one-off task; it’s a continual process that helps you understand your dog’s needs, support them through transitions, and set everyone up for long-term success.

We would expect adopters to maintain the training we’ve started and seek further guidance if needed. We’re always happy to help with information and recommendations for trainers, and provide advice during the trial and adoption process also.

Can't adopt Banana? You can still help.

Although we charge a small adoption fee, this doesn't generally cover the costs of us getting our dogs ready for adoption. Desexing, grooms, vet care, vaccinations, registration, training and variety of other things can go into these dogs. If you'd like to help either on a one off or regular basis we would be grateful for your donation.
